I filter my way through this life
allowing what is no longer a part of my desires
to slip through my fingers
like sand, so easy
and the gravity that pulls the sand down
is courage. bravery. powerful energy.
I no longer take in the
harmful messages,
they slip right through
I no longer take in painful experiences
I could have avoided
they slip right through
We need a filter on our life
because too much comes at us
and we cannot possibly
find equilibrium with all
that coming at us, no
all that is too much
slips right through
