land back now

Here with your reminder that billionaires do not exist and money isn’t real.

Billionaires do not exist because we have made up all currency. Even writing a check is a way to refer to money that we imagine these people have, and they truly have nothing if we think about it. Money is not real, but we assign it value and could just as easily take that away from everyone if we all agree that currency is completely made up, and it really is.

What is real then and what is needed?
Conflict is real. Justice is real. It’s time now, to stop fighting and start building.

We are, of course, on the precipice of massive changes and what those changes look like are up to us.

One of the best places to invest energy in is the land back movement.

If you are new to this I will briefly explain about it. I have not cited my sources but could find them if needed

-What is the land back movement? - let us summarize for now-
    • A Call for Restoration: The Land Back movement is a comprehensive campaign advocating for the return of ancestral lands to Indigenous peoples, coupled with the restoration of their inherent Sovereignty and control over those territories.
    • More Than Ownership: The Land Back movement is about stewardship, not just possession; it emphasizes Indigenous-led conservation, cultural preservation, and the right to self-determination as established in historical Treaty Rights.
    • A Spectrum of Action: The Land Back movement operates through diverse legal, political, and social channels, from federal Fee-To-Trust processes to private land purchases, conservation easements, and public advocacy.

  • The way I see it:

  • The land back movement is a situation where non natives can amplify the voices of the indigenous led actions and ideas about the future of the planet
  • drawing upon centuries of connection to the lands we inhabit, indigenous leaders must be at the forefront of these planetary changes. We can go into why, but trust me, this is a critical piece of our positive outcome as a species.
