Revisiting Spirit and Soul

I do not quickly accept the definitions of certain metaphysical terms. I search within to check whether I agree with the words and explanations used. If I do not agree with what I hear, I redefine for myself.

It occurred to me that perhaps what we call soul and spirit are not separate entities. Perhaps they are expressions of energy and consciousness that are intertwined within living beings. The soul may have records within itself of the imprint of identity and consciousness of the living being where it dwells. It can recall past lives, connect to the Akashic records, create and destroy soul contracts with other living beings and events etc. So, then the spirit is specific to the living being for this lifetime and has its imprint of identity and is contained within the breath that circulates through the body, oxygenating the blood, giving life to the cells that make up this particular incarnation's body and so on. When a being dies and the breath takes its final exit from the lungs, that is the extinguishment of that particular incarnate spirit being. However, both the spirit and the soul are eternal, since that spirit breath and imprint of identity for one incarnation is still recorded into the consciousness of the soul. The soul has a longer, more complicated memory. It contains memories of imprints and identities that stretch back to a certain beginning or initial birth.

The life of a soul is akin to the life of a star; energy that manifests as a form that has a beginning and end, but the essence is eternal.

Bird Shadow

 Bird shadow.

time rests inside grains of sand
across multitudes of beaches
waiting to mix with ocean waves,
and be hurled against itself
repeatedly
until all has changed shape
repeatedly
so we too, become unrecognizable
to each other
due to molecules of time infused into
these grains of sand, and the
shadow of a bird
falls across the shore
reminding us then that we landed there
for some list of reasons
and yes
we still have our wings

Community Ministry service offerings

 Witnessing and Spiritual Counseling

Sometimes we need to be deeply witnessed. Sometimes we need safe space held for us and then we can move forward. At times, we need Counseling alongside being seen and witnessed. At other times, we need more of just the counseling and not as much of the witnessing and being seen in our current situations.

Having graduated from Cherry Hill Seminary a few years ago and having received the Community Ministry Certificate, I have been truly prepared to offer these services for clients. I can offer the Witnessing service and not give counsel around any issues. I can offer Witnessing and Counseling together as a package, or just counseling alone.

What would a session look like?

For witnessing or counseling, I will meet with you in person or over video/phone call to assess where you are and what you are needing. A Witnessing or Counseling session is typically 50 to 60 minutes. Shorter sessions are available.

To be witnessed, I will just ask a few questions to get started and will focus on listening to you, reflecting back what feels significant and in need of focus and clarity. The conversation will move in an intuitive, safe manner.

To be counseled, I will ask some clarifying questions and create safe space for this work as well. Once I hear from you and get clarification on what you need, I will then offer counseling advice. I am not necessarily giving you specific answers, but I will provide guidance that is relevant to your situations.

Please get in touch through www.imayasmodalities.com if you are interested or have more questions. I am happy to assist you.
