seasons

moonlight on the path

gives way to the dawn

summer dies into fall

winter arrives in humble glory

spring pushes the plants

from under to above

I loved you with each step I took

each heartbeat, each stolen look

rain fall that overshadows all

washes away the poison

until only what we cannot see

remains

glorious samsara sunset

slipping down past the horizon

shining less and less on the pain

until we cannot hear or see

still, we can feel

moments that are way too real.

hungry ghosts who dwell among us

are felt at twilight

seen in the shadows

when light flickers over them

I loved you with each step I took

each heartbeat, each stolen look.
