All Of Us

All of us
told
the stories
of terrifying truth
until
no more so called
reality could be squeezed out of the
sick dream
dream of society
where people have grown
so incredibly numb and indifferent
to the suffering
of their fellow
human being
their fellow
sentient animals
their sweet sacred
natural environments
and in the dreams we do dream
with eyelids fluttered closed
we visit different kinds of places
not haunted by the plague of the current
reality
we have agreed to participate in
or hang along the edges of
participating in
horrified at our own indifference

wondering from the core of me
the core of vision that allows a person to SEE
when did this devastating cancer begin
to spread
from who's head?
who collectively
who individually
decided
we would
trap ourselves as whole
societies
in patterns of mindless destruction
and injustice
sending scholars sifting through
histories
that may have been
better
somehow
better than
pollution
war and greed which seem to spread
at the same pace or faster
than the conscious intentions
to send out loving kindness
sincerity from the most ancient tree

who is it that has blinded us that we may no more SEE
what this path leads us to

Let US no longer tell those stories in our minds
schools
news media outlets
places of worship

No More

Let us swing the ship of this planet
out of the way of the course of certain destruction
Let us steer Ourselves
toward healing, toward awakening
toward love
unconditional
toward being
the change
and quickly now,
