what words can convey this energy of wishing
this pure desire for merging
this wanting so much
for a new way to be in that intimate space
what words can convey these messages
how i am equal parts cynic and romantic
who can appreciate the heights and depths to which i would gladly go
for a reciprocity of the utmost sincerity
yes there is impatient poetry
pressed between my lips
insisting i let it out of the cage of my heart
yes there is desire beaming from my eyes
like undeniable light every time i see you
what am i guilty of if not letting that light spill
a little too carelessly?
