Interfaith work is also play- hopefully

----- Being lighthearted about interfaith work and talks is key, i imagine, to the success of the interactions----

when it comes to religious/spiritual views, we lack common language and often end up misunderstanding each other. many discussions take place when participants are drunk or high on some kind of substance. this leads to problems that could easily have been avoided if only the folks had waited until they were calm and ready to tackle such a discussion. passion is part of our psyche, when it comes to right and wrong and the BIG questions.

Most folks live day in and day out not worrying too much about the big picture, the focus remains on survival and all that entails. And then, of course some of us cannot help ourselves. Personally, I think about the BIG questions in some sort of way on a daily basis. What does that make me? Religious? Spiritual? I do not relate to these labels so well. A friend of mine says to me "Well, you have spent a lot of time 'there'.."

to be continued...
