Surrender

 In the darkest hour

we lean toward the light

In the darkest hour

We fold into fetal position

waiting for a reason to unfurl

When we finally do

we look around

For what has changed

What has remained

looking to the left

looking to the right

searching above

searching below

You are nowhere near

the last place you landed

what is left but

Surrender

what to do but 

Give in 

Give your body, mind, soul

to the fertile soil

to the glittering distant stars

Draw that star energy

into your self

Give yourself to the moon

to the Sun

to the planets of your choosing

They await your return

just as you have longed

for them.

Dissolve

obsessive thoughts dissolving

being flushed out by so much energy

coming through the crown chakra, 

spilling into all your systems

knowing it is time to release

your hold on the past

knowing it is time to let go of

the hold they have on you

clenching tightly until 

you break free

you loosen the chains and move away

you always had the choice to move away 

you notice that you developed those chains

and wrapped yourself in them

until freedom started calling you

in the birdsong from the tree branches

in the water rushing downstream

in the fire crackling and lighting up your way

in the earth, 

nourishing you with herbs and plants and more

in the breeze, blowing away cobwebs of illusion

you were meant to be seen and held and understood

from the inside out

not oppressed by forces you were 

too submissive to name properly

no Spirit worth worshiping or talking to

wants you to suffer like that

or would call you a sinner simply for existing as

a human. 

No Spirit worth recognizing would want you

to squeeze yourself into an identity that will never

fit you or hold all of you, 

It is time to take up space, to use your voice

to dissolve the suffering with the power 

of the sweet compassion emanating from 

nature and the beneficent beings that 

truly love you. 

 

Embodied

We move through 

the place where rage dwells

until love intensifies and grows

within the veins and organs of 

your living body

and within your bones are secrets

encoded by Cosmic Wisdom

excess anxiety drips away 

down the river, 

drop by drop 

it blends into blue green waves of purity

flowing like energy currents on their way

and the endless sea of energy

sends out the compassion needed

Universal laws are heeded

captured and released
